Integrating History and Philosophy of Science – Revisiting Neo-Kantianism
The project’s objective is to integrate history and philosophy of science by means of historical case studies on underrepresented backgrounds and marginalised narratives concerning neo-Kantian philosophy of science. The focus is on Ilse Rosenthal-Schneider’s (1891-1990) interpretation of Einstein’s theory of relativity, which strongly refers to Alois Riehl’s (1844-1924) doctrine of space and time.
