STAR will offer 20 fellowships to the most promising experienced researchers proposing an excellent and highly innovative individual research project. Interested candidates can apply either for an INCOMING or an OUTGOING fellowship. There will be two calls for proposals, each offering a total of 10 fellowships with 6 in the INCOMING and 4 in the OUTGOING mobility scheme.
INCOMING
The INCOMING mobility scheme offers a 24-month fellowship at a participating chair of the University of Siegen. Diversified sectoral and intersectoral exchange opportunities including secondments will be offered.
OUTGOING
The OUTGOING mobility scheme offers a fellowship with an initial outgoing phase of 12-24 months at an international STAR partner organisation (outside Germany), followed by a mandatory “return” phase of 12 month at a chair of the University of Siegen. Diverse sectoral and intersectoral exchange opportunities incl. secondments will be offered. The OUTGOING scheme is open to external applicants (not located at the University of Siegen), also.
